Non-Resource Projects

Previous non-resource projects undertaken by Stephen Godfrey summarised below.

Aggregate.  Location and definition of supplies of gravel for road construction, Barrow Island, WA.

Asbestos  Site monitoring of excavations for fibrous minerals, Pilbara WA.

Geotechnical.  3D geological model construction and estimation of geotechnical parameters defining ‘digability’ for reservoir construction.  Significant savings realised from the use of ripping as opposed to blasting (Alkimos, WA).  Cut and fill calculations to optimise civil works (Armidale, WA).  3D modelling of diamond bearing kimberlite pipes in Canada and India.

Environmental.  3D modelling of ground contaminant plume (Perth, WA).

Data Compilation.  Reconstruction of coal drilling and sampling databases from hard copies of annual reports, drilling reports, logs and sections (Queensland).  Resource modelling project management and review of Zn Pb Cu Ag deposits in Montenegro and Bosnia defined from data reconstructed from hard copy data.  Construction of database and resource models from online public data (Iron Ore, Canada).

Training and Mentoring.  Geologist training in resource modelling methods including the use Maptek’s Vulcan Software.  Mentoring of project geologists to ensure their drilling and sampling programs are undertaken and documented to a level sufficient to support any future mineral resource estimation.
