Resource Projects

Previous projects undertaken by Stephen Godfrey summarised below. Most have been resource estimations ranging from preliminary conceptual studies through to definitive feasibility studies with the level of study determined by the client’s requirements and the quantity and quality of data available.

In general terms most resource estimation projects involve:

  • Validation of drill hole and sampling data
  • Validation of quality control and quality assurance procedures and data
  • Interpretation and 3D modelling of the geology and mineralisation domains of the deposit
  • Statistical and geostatistical analysis of the data
  • Grade estimation and validation
  • Classification and reporting of the resource as tonnes and grade

Alumina. Modelling, resource estimation and reporting to JORC (2004/2012)* of lateritic bauxite deposits in Guinea and Australia. Due diligence level review of lateritic bauxite resources in Australia and Karst bauxite in Greece.

Gold. Modelling, resource estimation and reporting to JORC (2004/2012)* and Ni 43 101** codes and due diligence reviews for a variety of epithermal and greenstone gold deposits in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Indonesia, Eritrea, Brazil, China, Laos and Western Australia.

Copper. Modelling, resource estimation and reporting to JORC (2004/2012)* and Ni 43 101** codes for Cu/Au deposits in South Australia and Myanmar, Cu/Mo Papua New Guinea. Review of deposits in the Kyrgyz Republic and Peru.

Tungsten. Modelling, resource estimation and reporting to JORC (2004/2012)* for Tungsten skarn deposits in the USA, Spain and Portugal.

Iron Ore. Resource modelling, estimation and reporting to JORC (2004/2012)* code for BIF deposits in Western Australia and Guinea; CID deposits in Western Australia; Magnetite deposits in Western Australia; Titanomagnetite Iron Sand deposits in New Zealand;

Nickel. Resource modelling, estimation and reporting of lateritic nickel deposits to JORC (2004/2012)* code in Western Australia

Tin Tantalum Lithium. Resource Geologist for the Tin/Tantalum and Lithium mines on the Greenbushes granite pegmatite.

Sub-Marine Deposits. Resource modelling of Tasman Sea Iron Sand deposits in New Zealand. Exploration advice and data review of offshore Iron Sand deposits in the Philippines. Exploration advice and data review for Pacific Ocean phosphate deposits, Namibia. Review of resource modelling of Pacific Ocean manganese nodule deposits.

*In Australia resource estimations are documented under the guidelines of the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC).  Currently the 2004 guidelines are still in place with the 2012 guidelines coming into effect 1 December 2013.

**Reporting in Canada (TSX) requires that resource technical reports be compiled according to National Instrument 43 101 (NI 43 101).
